A full website with QuoteEngine built in
If you want a new website too: about you, your work, reviews – with QuoteEngine built in.
See our sample sites →What you’ll probably ask first.
How much does it cost?
A one-time setup fee – no monthly fee. The exact price depends on how many questions and line items your trade needs. The first call is free, and if QuoteEngine turns out not to be a fit for your work, you pay nothing. We’re in beta right now: the first 5 contractors get a discounted setup.
How long until it’s live?
Usually within a week – depending on how complex your jobs are and how quickly you can get us your prices and questions.
Do I need a website?
No. If you have one, we build it in. If not, you get your own web address with your estimate page (e.g. smithpainting.com) that you can link from Facebook, Instagram or TikTok.
Can homeowners see the price on the page?
No. The price is only in the email they receive. Anyone who wants it leaves their name, email and phone – so you get real leads, not anonymous clicks.
Is the estimate binding?
No. Homeowners get a preliminary estimate, and the email says so: you set the final price after seeing the job in person. They know what to expect, and you’re not locked into a price sight unseen.
What if material prices go up, or I want a new question?
Change it in the sheet. New prices apply to the very next estimate; a new question or answer option shows up on your website within minutes.
What if I don’t want estimates to go out automatically?
Switch on review mode: every estimate becomes a Gmail draft you can edit, then send with one tick. You can switch back any time.
What about sales tax?
You choose: tax on everything, only on items marked taxable, or no tax line with a note – whatever your state requires. Prices can be entered pre-tax or tax-inclusive.
Do I need a Google account – and what do I have to do?
Just a Gmail account – you probably have one. The sheet and all your data stay in your own Google account, not with us. We do the setup: the sheet for your trade, your questions and your prices, and we go live together on a short call. After that, you just keep the sheet current.
How many estimates can go out per day?
A regular Gmail account can send about 100 emails a day. With lead notifications on, that’s roughly 50 requests a day – plenty for most contractors. Need more? A Google Workspace account raises the limit to 1,500 a day.
Does it filter out bots and pranks?
Yes: a bot check protects the form, and only a few estimates can go to the same email address per day.
How much time would you get back?
We talk through what you need to ask and what your jobs are made of. We build the sheet and set up the form – after that, you just keep your prices current.
- Free consultation call – if it’s not a fit, you pay nothing
